NVIDIA/Mellanox Compatible 400G OSFP-RHS RHS/Flat Top to 2 x 200G QSFP56 InfiniBand HDR Breakout AOC (5-metre, OSFP to 2x QSFP56)
The OSFPFL-400G-2QAO05 active optical cable is an 8-channel, pluggable, parallel, fibre optic 400G OSFP-RHS to 2 x 200G QSFP56 AOC. It integrates 8 data lanes in each direction at OSFP end and 4 data lanes in each direction at QSFP end. These modules are designed to work in management and storage networks. This active optical cable is compliant with IEEE 802.3 bs-2*200GAUI-4, IEEE 802.3 bs-200GAUI-4, OSFP MSA, and SFF-8661.
Thin and lightweight AOC cables simplify cable management, enabling an efficient system airflow, which is critical in high-density racks. It is used extensively in cloud and supercomputers due to its low cost, high-value proposition, and increased reliability.
Note:"Finned-top" transceivers are now called "Integrated Heat Sink" (IHS) as the cooling fins are integrated into the OSFP connector metal top. Commonly used in air-cooled switches. "Flat-top" transceivers are now called "Riding Heat Sink" (RHS) as the cooling fins ride on top of the network card or systems internal cages. This is used for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled applications for DGX, ConnectX-7 and BlueField-3 DPUS.
